The Ambient Mass is a live recording of a performance by sound artist Jon Law which was presented alongside a temporary installation by spatialist Daniel Tollady at The Brewery Tap in Folkestone. Their collaborative research into audible spatiality has led to an exploration of the productive tensions inherent in the juxtaposition of ambient sound and architectural sculpture.
The two compositions presented here are a mixture of slow gentle swells shadowed by swathes of distortion and repetitive percussive elements.
This is a limited edition of 25 hand numbered cassettes including download code.
